Winston-Salem is a place where historic meets hip, tradition meets innovation. For instance, the tobacco factory that earned Winston-Salem the nickname “Camel City” has been converted into modern loft apartments. Cigarette machines throughout the town have been converted into machines that dispense miniature art prints. There's the Old Town neighborhood where cobblestone streets weave among shops and museums, like the Old Salem Museums and Gardens and historic attractions that recreate life in the 1700s. But, there's also a downtown arts district where modern sculptures pop up in public parks. In this part of town you’ll find ARTivity on the Green, an art-themed park featuring bright red sculptures reminiscent of the smokestacks of the city’s past. ARTivity on the Green also hosts musical performances, festivals, and other community events throughout the year.

Children will enjoy a visit to Kaleideum Downtown (formerly the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem), Kaleideum North (formerly SciWorks) science and nature center, or a tour of the Black Mountain Chocolate Factory.

Other major neighborhoods in Winston-Salem include Mount Tabor, Ardmore, Arcadia, and West Salem. Mount Tabor is home to many professionals as well as families. Ardmore is popular with young families and medical students because it is located between Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and Forsyth Hospital. West View and Williamsburg Square are popular neighborhoods for retirees.

Winston-Salem, NC is also home to a number of colleges and universities. In the city’s West Salem neighborhood, BB&T Field at Wake Forest University is a great spot to take in a game. If you have a student at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem State University, or Salem College, you can make their day by sending a bouquet of flowers or plant for their dorm room.

Whether you want to send birthday greetings, congratulations, mark a milestone, or for no reason at all, we can arrange a quick floral delivery to your loved one in any of Winston-Salem’s neighborhoods.
