Tacoma has more than 100 neighborhoods, some of which are Old Town, Stadium District, Downtown Tacoma and West Tacoma. Old Town is the site of the first business in Tacoma. It's also where some historic buildings from the late 1800s still stand, including a Masonic Temple and Greek Revival homes. There are several breweries located inside old warehouses in the area.

The Stadium District is south of Downtown Tacoma and home to the University of Washington's Tacoma campus. The area has many shops, restaurants and a few bars. It also hosts a weekly Sunday Market in the summertime.

Downtown Tacoma has been going through a revitalization in recent years. Public art can be found throughout in an effort to brighten the area. It's also the site of Tacoma's Amtrak Bus Station and LINK light rail station. The Museum of Glass, which sits next to an art museum, borders Downtown Tacoma to the south.
